Coffee Company
The company
was created by Tony Holcroft and Julie Castleton. Based on a passion for coffee
and our commitment to excellence, we are driven by that dream to create ourselves
a lifestyle doing what we love.
Bica - the
Portuguese word for "a small cup of strong black Coffee"
The name
was chosen as a tribute to Tony's father. Our Bica man logo is a waiter in Portuguese
dress, although you could be mistaken for believing it was based on Tony himself,
as the resemblance is uncanny!
We pride ourselves in our varied roasting styles, our tempting
blends, and the freshness we are able to supply.
At the 2004
BP Coffee Festival and Awards, Bica won Gold Medal for NZ Roasted Espresso,
and the Supreme Award with our Sail Rock Blend. Then in 2005 proving we know
Decaf, winning another Gold Medal.
